Vision of the Team
The LOCALkids Team exists for one clear purpose: connecting kids to find and follow Jesus, together. LOCALkids is an equipping ministry. We equip kids to know and follow Jesus, equip leaders to communicate the truth of Jesus, and equip parents with tools to disciple their kids at home. Our goal isn't simply to give kids somewhere to go during service. It's to create an environment where they can discover who Jesus is, grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and be excited to come back to church. Every lesson matters. Every conversation matters. Every kid matters. Because these kids aren't just the church someday. They are the church right now.
The Impact
What happens in LOCALkids doesn't stay in the classroom. Kids are learning who Jesus is on their level and discovering what it looks like to take real next steps in their faith. We've seen LOCALkids become a place where:
And when kids' lives are changed, families' lives are changed too. Serving in LOCALkids isn't just about helping during a service. It's an opportunity to shape faith, create a safe and welcoming environment, and point kids and families toward Jesus in ways that reach far beyond the weekend.
Find Your Place
The LOCALkids Team is made up of different gifts working together toward one purpose. There are opportunities to serve through:
You don't have to teach to make an impact in LOCALkids. Some Serve Team Members lead directly with kids and families, while others help prepare resources, environments, and experiences behind the scenes. Every role matters because we're one body with many parts, and every part helps point kids and families toward Jesus.
Your Next Step
Serving in LOCALkids is more than helping in a classroom. It's an opportunity to invest in the next generation, build relationships with kids and families, and help create an environment where kids can know Jesus and grow in their faith. You get to use your gifts, serve alongside Familia, and be part of creating the kind of church kids can't wait to come back to. If you have a heart for kids, families, discipleship, creativity, or helping behind the scenes, we'd love to get you connected. Maybe LOCALkids is your next step.
